What to Expect from a Post-Construction Clean in Las Vegas

After months of construction work, the last thing you want to deal with is the cleanup. Whether you’ve just completed a new home build, a major renovation, or a commercial buildout, the mess left behind by contractors is significant. Drywall dust settles on every surface. Adhesive residue clings to floors and fixtures. Paint overspray coats windows and hardware. This is where professional post-construction cleaning comes in.

What Is Post-Construction Cleaning?

Post-construction cleaning is a specialized, intensive process that goes far beyond regular cleaning. It requires specific equipment, techniques, and products to safely remove construction materials and residue without damaging new surfaces, finishes, or fixtures. There are typically three phases:

• Rough clean — Done during construction to remove large debris as work progresses.
• Final clean — The thorough top-to-bottom cleaning done after all work is complete. This is what most people mean by post-construction cleaning.
• Touch-up clean — A light follow-up just before move-in, after any last-minute punch list work is completed.

Windows and Glass

New construction windows are covered in stickers, labels, adhesive residue, paint overspray, and construction dust. We remove all stickers and labels, clean adhesive residue with appropriate solvents, and professionally clean all glass inside and out using purified water systems that leave no mineral deposits or streaks.

Floors

Construction dust and debris settle deeply into hard floors and carpet. We vacuum all surfaces before any wet cleaning to prevent scratching. Hard floors are mopped with appropriate cleaning solutions for the floor type. Carpet is vacuumed thoroughly and spot-treated as needed.

Surfaces and Fixtures

All surfaces are wiped down to remove construction dust including cabinet interiors and drawers, countertops and backsplashes, light fixtures and ceiling fans, door hardware and hinges, baseboards and crown molding, window sills and frames, and appliances inside and out.

Bathrooms and Kitchen

We clean and polish all tile and fixtures, remove grout haze from tile surfaces, clean shower glass and enclosures, scrub toilets and sinks, and remove construction residue from plumbing fixtures. In the kitchen we clean all cabinet interiors and exteriors, remove protective film from appliances, clean inside the oven and refrigerator, and degrease range hood filters.

How Long Does It Take?

A typical new single-family home in Las Vegas takes 6 to 10 hours for a thorough final clean with a two-person crew. Larger custom homes may require a full day or more.
